Agate Falls Overview
– Agate Falls is one of Michigan’s most picturesque waterfalls
– Located along the middle branch of the Ontonagon River

– A half-mile trail leads to an observation platform with views of the top of the falls
– Trail passes through a tunnel under M-28 and offers views of overhead railroad trestles
Waterfall Features
– The falls are formed as the river flows over a terraced sandstone shelf, creating interlacing cascades and small falls about 40 feet high
